1. Understanding Sadness and Suffering
Everyone meets suffering; some meet them on a daily basis. Just to live with that much sadness, that much pain for a person, a pet or the planet – it seems all wrong, then you can step back and you see that it is only masquerading as a problem. Our explanations for why tragedy exists – and we all smile while saying this – lent some dignity to the very thing we can’t figure out. Rather than face. It is more important to recognize sadness, the direct road to addressing people in pain. It might feel like a delicate road to travel, which variably disturbs us, we can always connect with a broken heart.
I just said that not understanding it is the problem and now I’m adding ‘suffering’ as a problem! No, understanding is the answer. So I admit it isn’t simple. There are many forms of suffering and they make problems, big or small, making the burden of concern something that we all carry sometime or other. This becomes especially noticeable at the slightest hint of hurt, especially when it is directed towards a loved one – we love them and do not want that for them. The sadness that follows increases when there is nothing we can do to fix things. It eats when that caring becomes pain, anger, and sickness when it gnaws at our very soul.
1.1. The Nature of Sadness and Suffering
Nature of sadness: From the tiny infant’s plaintive cry to the old man’s last sigh, sadness is part of every life. We may speak of simple sadness, which may result from a small disappointment or discomfiture. Then there is also comprehensive sadness, great suffering caused by physical or emotional wounds. Every man has beauty; there is no ugliness in a man who has not been starved or mangled. The virtue of cheerfulness or joy, which stands opposed to sadness or gloom, has prompted writers to put it to verse and prose, but we cannot grapple it into a fixed time and place. It is not likely that the piper of music will live in the hearts of men who have not first tasted salt from the cauldron of tears.
Men have always asked the question, “Why do the righteous suffer?” There may not have been an answer in science, but the Bible proclaims a vivid and articulate answer. The best and deepest expression of these truths is found in God’s word, which tells us who we are and why we suffer.
1.2. Common Causes and Triggers
These special defenses, such as the crossing of the face and the prevention of possession and spiritual attacks, include the use of meditation, religious exorcism, corrective and other recommended exercises, and, in some realistic wartime conditions, the erection of prisons or earthworks and the use of incantations. However, spiritual help and comfort help people in especially difficult times. We, after all, are social beings and spiritual beings who, by our very nature, turn to each other. This is the essence of humanity, we must be together, even in our difficulties, and turn to one another. Just as we go to a friend who is undergoing a change, let us also go to the friends of heaven who have been brought into our Lord. God looks at our sincere complaints, he really feels our pain, he knows how hard it is to allocate property to us, he looks at our real complaints, that’s the way it will be with us. And that is the way our Lord and his heavenly hosts help us in our trials.
The events that are most likely to trigger signs of spiritual attacks and possession are very much the same events that would trigger physical or emotional problems such as a divorce, pregnancy, childbirth, or even more painful times such as children reaching their maritally reproductive years, serious financial hardships which can block our ability to maintain personal and spiritual welfare, and marriages with communication problems. These events are painful, difficult times, and any person involved in the event is more sensitive and vulnerable than usual. During these times, perversions of spiritual assistance can often develop. These causes often stimulate people to find better defense in their trials through the basic spiritual acts of prayer, defection, breathing, and communication with Boundaries; or, if alternative protection measures can be taken, associated spiritual acts.
2. The Power of Faith and Resilience
Simply talk with God, acknowledging his presence at all times. Clear your mind to think only of God. Rejoice in your relationship. Praise God for his goodness, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, understanding, and love. Be thankful for your blessings. The prayer of thanksgiving is powerful. Jesus showed us the way, and he is alive in our hearts. He is our personal prayer reserve. Mary is our closest protector, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. Ask for her guidance and protection. Sorrowful and joyful, Mary is close to your side with her endless love. Preface your prayers with “I ask this in the name of Jesus,” and you will be blessed, protected, and healed. The Holy Spirit is with you at all times. Be led by the Spirit. Stand with your strong Divine Defense. Stand strong spiritually in the armor of God. Stand as part of our beloved family. God’s love protects us, and there is nothing more empowering than the love of God.
We stand strong in the armor of God by faith, trust, and the Word with resilience. We do not stand alone; we stand with the Divine Defense. Faith activates our armor, energizes our trust, and increases our resilience. Depend on your faith in God, his powerful Word, and the Holy Spirit residing within you. We are family with God as our Father, Jesus as our brother, and Mary as our mother. That makes us all brothers and sisters. As a beloved family member, we have a personal prayer bond. Pray humbly and sincerely with trust. Be inspired by the Bible and the Trinity. The Bible is our love letter from God, our action plan, our rock, and our guide. Pray God’s Word and promises. There is power in the Word.
2.1. Faith as a Source of Strength
Faith means that you have a firm belief and confidence in something that is not seen or proved, not affected nor dependent upon what is happening in the physical world, but steadily moving forward with a strong and certain trust in an unseen power on purposeful determination. It can hold out confidently because it knows it is part of an eternal spirit world. It recognizes the connection between spirit and the physical body and has faith that the spirit cannot die but continues to live on, passing through the gates of death. The path can be seen, knowing that it does not always bodily and intellectually perceive. But with faith in God’s guardianship, you can certainly feel secure in every adversity.
Saint Gabriel once said, “This quality grants thy Lord, faith. It will be hard to stand open to strike at. Without it, and some, much or most of all will be taken away.” What he meant by this was that it is not so easy to face and deal with life in the physical world. Many who do not have the strength of faith struggle in desperation to keep their hold on life, sometimes only to lose their grip without any spiritual defenses.
2.2. Cultivating Resilience in the Face of Adversity
The day-to-day internal, as well as the external, trials of leaders and guardians can wear them down over time. When the proximal factors of challenges are baptisms by fire, terror management, general surveillance, the use of consultants, and a lack of leadership skills training, the range of do-able strategies is narrowed. To be tenacious in the face of such pressure while handling crises and making decisions and actions is a requirement, and although the incarceration of the final complex leadership requirement – defend against the forces of darkness – is unlikely to be enforced, pragmatism for some spotted realities is needed when attempting to address and cultivate resilience in the guardians and leaders whose responsibility is not solely to an employee, household, or shareholder that they may never personally meet or engage in but to enduring and helping rather obvious national and global growth consequences. In other words, society-at-large is also a performance stakeholder of leadership and supervision. It is not to suggest that informal, social, partial, performance, ‘ethereal,’ or aggregative interests are not important or to deny the existence of some inconspicuous shareholders, but rather to highlight that additional, multi-faceted, ongoing, exigent, meta-level, systemic requirements overlay what might appear to be a simpler performance expectation process.
For those who have a calling in positions of authority, the pressures of which they are expected to not just endure but flourish in, their range from organizational complexity, engagement, and communication demands to conflicts with people, personalities, and ethics. There are also environmental/societal complexities and factors such as globalization, technology, and other drivers to consider, as well as the ever-constant need to motivate and satisfy both workers and constituents by practicing emotional intelligence. The increase in terminations at the highest levels – executives, leaders, and celebrities – suggests that what seems like power is actually precarious. The roles of guardians, leaders, and executives can indeed be demanding, and beyond the cumulative effect of the challenges typical of these kinds of positions, such as job burnout, job fatigue, encapsulated stress, challenges from the business environment, and border magna stresses, there is an increasing emphasis on personal employment health, self-care, and workplace health. However, that speaks only to the what. Leaders also face a further climate of restrictive rules and increased scrutiny, along with isolation, an expectation of perfection, and a lack of sound counsel.
3. God’s Armor: The Divine Defense
Our three extraordinary co-priests – St. Michael the Archangel, St. Gabriel the Archangel, and St. Raphael the Archangel – are supposed to be crucially involved in spiritual warfare, of mostly defensive nature, but also of offensive nature. I am now going to write about something called “God’s armor”. We are being involved in spiritual warfare, so we will need an armor for this. With this text, I’ll borrow you God’s armor. With this, you will be as well armed as an angel is. During spiritual warfare, if there were some hostile person or creature, it would come to you, the hostile creature won’t get through God’s armor anyway! This is crucial for the success of spiritual warfare. We do not want to receive hits on the soul or the body with frequent, unexpected, unpleasant elements. We want to successfully defend ourselves from all the attacks and be “safe and sound”!
Read Ephesians 6:11-17 and see St. Paul’s description of what he says is “God’s armor”. Write on a newspaper or a portfolio page these verses.
3.1. The Components of God’s Armor
The Greek word for ‘truth’ is aletheia, and it means ‘the discovered reality’ or ‘the manifested truth’, in reference to the divine truth of God’s Word. Aletheia emphasizes that truth is not merely a matter of speech, but truth is a ‘matter of fact’. As a result, what God says on any particular matter is what it really is. We are to embrace Absolute Truth in our lives by recognizing and siding with what God says is true in every battle we face. This is the foundation for standing firm in God’s armor. Without the protection of the truth, we are easily susceptible to the devil’s lies. It is the belt of truth most essential for the believer’s defense in the battlefield of the mind.
Belt of Truth: A belt in biblical times secured a soldier’s clothing and kept it from flapping in the wind. When the soldier put on his belt, he was preparing himself to fight. In considering the analogy of a belt, the belt of truth plays a prominent role. Truth secures our thinking and prepares us for battle.
The components of God’s armor are specific internal resources that God gives to believers to help protect them in the battlefield of the mind. Together, they form what is known as the Christian mindset. When believers put on God’s armor, they can stand strong against the thoughts and tactics of the enemy. Let’s look at each piece of armor and its function as described in Ephesians 6:14-17.
3.2. Putting on the Armor: Practical Steps
First, form the resolve to live the Christian life; set your will to actively serve Christ. Then, Christ’s righteousness and protection will freely be given to you. With trust and obedient service, join God’s army and defend God’s position for as long as Satan dares challenge it. Put on God’s armor and stand firm behind Christ’s victory. God will accomplish the miraculous. With your heart and soul resting in Christ, allow Him to use His armor for your defense. Stand in God’s armor, and He will make you part of His invincible army defending His position from the kidnapper, Satan!
The key passage about putting on God’s armor is found in Ephesians 6:11-18. As you can see from the diagram below, each piece of the armor found in this passage has a practical counterpart. Here’s the complete passage: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.”
