A mere glance at the tapestry of our communities will undoubtedly reveal that numerous Christian families are far from luxuriating in opulence. Rather, many of them are merely subsisting, enduring through arduous times, while others are ensnared by the vicious cycle of indebtedness. Furthermore, there exists a segment of believers who, driven by sheer perseverance and resourcefulness, strive to meet their most fundamental needs by relentlessly seeking every means possible to scrimp and save.
The intercession of Saint Peter is the link to regaining abundance and freeing oneself from chains that bind to financial limitations. Through prayer to Saint Peter, one can ask for continued blessings of abundance and freedom from financial constraints.
Understanding that wealth has negative and positive connotations, and that we are deserving of the positive connotations of wealth, is also integral to the understanding of divine wealth. Positive connotations of wealth are unlimited and can be used to help both individuals and the world at large. Unfortunately, at some point or another, many people have been unable to maintain the blessings of abundance. Whether it came from financial ruin, generosity that was pushed too far, or any other reason, the loss of the blessings of abundance can be a painful time.
Throughout the centuries, many keys to divine wealth have been revealed. One of the most powerful is the intercession of Saint Peter on behalf of abundance and continued blessings for worthy individuals. The status of wealth being in the hands of divine forces is a concept that is unfamiliar to many. However, it is the understanding and integration of this concept that can lead to the complete change in financial status. Just as we are deserving of God’s love, health, and happiness, we are also deserving of continued blessings of abundance.
Though primarily known as the keeper of the gate to heaven, Saint Peter has an additional role as divine treasurer at the gates. It is said that Saint Peter is the holder of the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and as treasurer, he doles out wealth to those who are deserving. The divine right to wealth is the possession of every person on this earth. The keys to divine wealth, however, are in the hands of the divine treasury. Understanding and utilizing these keys opens the gateway to unlimited wealth and abundance.
Change your attitude towards money and come to Saint Peter as a little child. Give up all your own wishes and will, and only ask that in the use of money you may have the same mind which was in Christ. Study Christ in his relation to money. See how you can imitate Him in the use of it. A converted Hindu, who had been a money lender before his conversion, gave up all the capital he had in his money lending business. He agreed to pay back the interest on loans which he had already had, but he would not lend any more money. This led to his financial ruin, but he never regretted it. He found it hard to get employment because people said that he was a Christian and lazy, but he toiled in the lowest and most menial occupations, such as pulling a rickshaw or carrying loads, till he was too old to work anymore. When asked whether it was not a great come-down in life for him, he replied that the trouble with most of us is that we are trying to get up in the world, and he had thought it was a very good opportunity to try and get down. Now that is just the mind of Christ: “Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor” (2 Cor. viii. 9). And those who have known most of the blessing of Peter’s words: “Silver and gold have I none” in pain or poverty endured for the sake of the Gospel, have counted it much greater wealth than anything that the money could have purchased.
An easy and fun way to start practicing the law of attraction is to play the prosperity game. This is a 30-day game which was fabricated by Abraham-Hicks. Each day you are given an imaginary, and unlimited, bank account. Your task is to spend all of the money each and every day. At first, this may be difficult because you are out of practice of believing that money comes easily to you in abundance. A key point to this game is to only buy things which bring you happiness. It may be difficult the first few days and you might have to “return” some of the items you bought, but as the days progress, it becomes easier and easier to spend your money, and also easier to repeatedly fill up your “bank” each morning.

Regrettably, the majority of individuals unknowingly act as creators. Close your eyes and imagine what it would feel like to never again have a severe lack of anything. How does it feel?
This is the feeling you must strive to carry and you will see it manifest in time. Step two is to seek an understanding that there is a higher power that is your source. This is the source of all supply, to meet any need you could ever conceive of. This power is within us and when tapped into, will allow desires to manifest. This source is also where perfect health and well-being come from. Step three, understand the universal principle of giving and receiving. Many people want to receive first, but this is a limited way that often leads to a dead end. When you get your hands on the flow of the universe, which is continuous, you will never again be in need.
The universe will meet your needs before you can even ask. At this time, you are free to receive in abundance and give to others, who are still in need. Finally, develop the wisdom to cooperate with the universal principle in every thought, word, and action. This principle is that only good is intended for you and any obstacle is self-created and can be removed by you. This is the abundant life and the prosperity mindset has now been set in motion.
This was not a regular occurrence for him and it was quite out of character. He was not dependent on the outcome of the lottery to improve his situation, it was just a spontaneous inspiration. He won a car. He thought it was a nice little coincidence. A while later when the new model of that car had been released, the lottery company contacted him to let him know that the value of the car had increased, and that they were going to give him cash instead of the car. The amount was over $80,000. Now you can imagine this was quite a pleasant surprise during the man’s day! But it is quite an understatement to say that the idea of ‘winning and $80,000’ had never crossed this man’s mind. A mere coincidence had materialized more wealth than he had ever considered possible. This is the potential of inspired action.
The universe has the wisdom and power to materialize enormous wealth almost instantly, and in ways that are quite beyond the comprehension of most of us. Inspired action can often lead to wealth far greater than we ever imagined possible. This is exemplified in the following true story. A friend’s father one day felt inspired to purchase a lottery ticket.
The law of attraction will bring opportunities for wealth to us, but we must take inspired action to capitalize on these. What that means is that we must act in ways that appear to be ‘coincidental’ in seizing opportunities as they arise. Staying in our current situation because it is comfortable is not taking inspired action, and this will not lead us to the quickest shortcut to the wealth we seek. Inspired action can sometimes be a little frightening as it requires us to leave our comfort zones, but taking risks is a part of being successful. This does not mean we should bet our life savings at the casino, but starting a wise investment with some of it is one very common way to start in the right direction.

The purpose is to establish a connection through intentional engagement. This can manifest as a holy ceremony and may occur individually or collectively, in settings that are either shared or private.

Some of us have trouble even deciding on a career path that is correct for our unique personalities and lifestyles. The four blessings of Saint Peter can help guide us to the career we have always wanted or to get more out of the one we are in now. Many people hold the misconception that having a fulfilling career means one must work less and get paid more. This notion is false. A rewarding career is one in which we maintain our integrity, develop our skills, and help others.
Saint Peter, I intercede for fuller knowledge of your divine truth concerning the spiritual mysteries of holy matrimony. Teach me what divine charity and friendship should exist between father and mother and between parents and children. Show that love and unity, that true Christian living should alter the atmosphere of the Christian home and enable each member to edify the other. I seek to know your truth, for your truth will set me free to be a happier and more perfect wife (husband), a more successful parent, and ever a better mentor of souls.
